Happy New Year!

I’ve always loved to write.

Before Ice Age Meals ever existed, there were blog posts—hundreds of them. From 2011 to 2016, I wrote to encourage, to challenge, and to remind people that food matters… but so does belief.

Then Ice Age Meals took off.
The business grew.
The writing took a back seat.

But the love for words never left.

So today—January 1, 2026—I want to write again. Not to sell you something. Not to hype a resolution. But to encourage you as we step into a new year together.

Because here’s the truth:

By January 21st—just three weeks in—nearly 90% of New Year’s resolutions are dead.

They don’t fail because people don’t care.
They fail because they’re built on intensity, not belief.

The ones who win the lifelong race aren’t flashy.
They’re steady.

As Robert Service wrote in The Men That Don’t Fit In, "It’s the steady, quiet, plodding ones who win in the lifelong race".

And that’s what this really comes down to:

You either believe… or you don’t.

There’s no middle ground.

If you believe—truly believe—then it’s time to go.
Today is the day.
No looking back.

Leave the past right where it's at and step forward into an invincible future.

Recently, I watched the documentary The Jesus Music. It’s powerful—not because the people are polished, but because they’re honest. It’s a story of messy, imperfect followers of Jesus, simply trying to show the world how good God is.

That resonated deeply with me.

Because that’s who I am too.

Still learning.
Still imperfect.
Still showing up.

Part of my purpose on this earth is to reflect God’s goodness through food—to help people eat well, yes—but also to nourish something deeper. Body, mind, and spirit.

So here I am.
January 1, 2026.
Shining my light as brightly as I can.
Doing the best I can with what I’ve been given.

Not perfect.
Not finished.
But moving forward.

If that sounds like you—
If you’re done chasing resolutions and ready to build something steady—

Come with me.

Let’s walk into this year with belief, consistency, and purpose.
