Nick Almost Died.

Same with Arturo.
We were on a trip to Minnesota and a driver fell asleep with his foot on the accelerator and t-boned us driving 100 mph.
I thought I was dead.
It is an absolute miracle that I am typing this email right now, because there is no way that I should be alive after what happened.
The driver's van destroyed our engine, then rotated around my driver's door and demolished the bed of our truck. You can see from this picture that the driver's door was virtually untouched.
I am so grateful to be alive.
The Bible says, "Your life is but a vapor that appears for a while and then vanishes." James 4:14.
None of us knows what will happen tomorrow.
Today, I remind you that each day is a gift.
I'm thankful for my best friend, Arturo, who is also alive today.
But it's also opened the floodgates of perspective on my life and the things that matter most.
I've got a fresh look and a clearer perspective.
My work is not done yet, and the best is yet to come.
I woke up the next morning and settled into my anchor routine and was further touched.
I read,
"We are not quite prepared for the BUMPS and BRUISES that must come if we are going to be turned into the shape of the vision."
and
"Are we willing to be battered into the shape of the vision to be used by God?"
and
Let your little I am be shriveled up... I AM WHO IAM... has sent me to you. (Exodus 3:14)
and finally
He will hunt us down as fast as a flash of lightning.
One thing is for sure, I have never experienced anything as loud and as fast as this accident.
Heavy stuff, guys.
While I wanted to share about our new burritos and our completed kitchen and the next steps for Ice Age Meals, this message is better.
Count your days and make your days count.
Be grateful for what you have and fix any situations that you wouldn't want to remain in your absence. Tell your loved ones you love them and squeeze them extra tight when you hug them because you never know when your time is up.
So grateful for all of you today and for the wild adventure that Ice Age Meals has been. A lot of times it is really hard, but looking back, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I hope this encourages you today, so please reply to let me know if it has.
Until next time, "Keep It Paleo!"
Your Pal Always,
Paleo Nick
PS: Cherish every sunrise and sunset and great friends like Tony Turski... :)
