Hi Friend,

I was sitting in Nehemiah 8:10 this morning.

You probably know the end of it: "the joy of the Lord is your strength." That line gets quoted, cross-stitched, put on coffee mugs. But it was the front half that stopped me today:

"Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared."

Think about that for a second. Who in your life right now has nothing prepared?

  • The friend with a new baby and a sink full of bottles.
  • The coworker whose marriage just quietly fell apart.
  • The neighbor recovering from surgery.
  • The family mid-move, eating cereal off a packing box.

We all know someone. Probably more than one.

I’ve seen it recently, meals sent to a friend with a cancer diagnosis, another to a daughter overwhelmed by stress.

The beautiful thing about this verse is that the call to generosity isn't separate from the joy, it's part of it. Enjoying the feast and sharing the feast are the same act.

So here's the nudge: send them a box of Ice Age Meals. Real food, made with care, showing up at their door ready to eat.

  • No casserole dish to return.
  • No "let me know if you need anything" that never gets cashed in.
  • Just a fridge full of fuel for whatever they're walking through.

So here's the nudge:

Pick a person. Send a box. Be the light. → Send a Box

Who comes to mind?

Don’t overthink it. It’s probably the first person you thought of.

They will never forget a box of meals showing up to their door. I promise.

Regardless of how this email hits or whatever you are going through, remember that the joy of the LORD is your strength.

"Keep It Paleo!"

Your Pal,

Paleo Nick

Verse of the Day:

Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our LORD. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
