Hi Friend,

Thank you so much for the incredible response to my birthday sale. It turned into our biggest sales day in over a year.

We are gaining steam at Ice Age Meals again, and it’s only because of you. Thank you. Truly.

This past week, I’ve been up in Minnesota on what I call a “think week / work camp” out on Massie Island — a project I’ve been building since 2018.

We’ve got a big vision for this place, but the reality is… the island has had an even bigger vision for me.

Every single day out here calls us to rise to the occasion.

Waves. Wind. Equipment breakdowns. Missing parts. Storms rolling through at the worst possible moments. Problems stacked on top of problems. Yet somehow, through all of it, we keep moving forward.

Arturo has joined me on more than 30 trips like this. He’s my right-hand man and one of the most positive people I’ve ever met. Yesterday, after another long day fighting wind, waves, docks, machinery, and rain squalls, he said something that hit me hard:

“Everything God gives us is for us.”

Then he added:

“This is testing us, and it’s building us.”

This morning’s devotion from Oswald Chambers could not have been more timely. It talked about The Habit of Rising to the Occasion and reminded me that God allows adversity into our lives to see if we can “jump over them properly.”

Not every obstacle is punishment. Sometimes it’s preparation.

Maybe you’re facing something difficult right now. Maybe the problems keep rolling in like waves on the shoreline.

I want to encourage you:

Rise to the occasion. Do what the trial demands of you.

And fuel yourself properly while you do it.

One thing I’ll tell you honestly — while we’re out here on the island, almost all we eat is Ice Age Meals. We stock the freezer and keep moving. It’s low-friction fuel for real life, real work, and real challenges.

That’s exactly why we built this company in the first place.

And soon, I want to bring some of you here. What some people see as isolation has actually become a place of incredible connection, growth, perspective, and peace.

If you've followed us from the start, you know about our Culinary Adventures to Nicaragua, Alaska and Thailand.

Now it's time to test them on my home turf. If you are interested in learning more, reply to this email and we'll add your name to the waitlist.

The full devotion is below. Worth sitting with.

Your pal,

Paleo Nick
