Ten Years Ago Today...

Hey Everyone,

Ten years ago today - September 30, 2016 - our episode of Shark Tank aired on ABC.

I walked into the Tank with Ice Age Meals, a freezer full of frozen food, and a pretty big dream.

What happened next changed my life.

There have been some incredible highs over these ten years. And there have been some incredibly difficult seasons too.

We've cooked a lot of food. Shipped a lot of boxes. Made mistakes. Learned lessons. Built a team. Lost sleep. Started over more than once. And somehow, we're still here.

Just yesterday, we received an email stating that our all inspections have passed and the building permit for our new kitchen has been closed!

Holy! That journey started nearly 4 years ago and even in the final stretch, we had over four months of hurdles and countless headaches, but we got the job done!

A huge thanks to Sergeant Avilio Sandoval for his persistence and "find a way or make one" attitude.

See below the final sign-offs for Health and Site Final on 9/28/30.

Hallelujah!

Today, exactly ten years after Shark Tank, we're standing at the beginning of another chapter.

Burritos.

We're testing three Chef Nancy-made frozen burritos - Beef, Pork and Chicken - packed with real meat, great salsa and serious protein. The goal: 50g PRO per burrito. Our first samples are coming in at 56–62g.

These are the same meats we used to serve in our Sweet Potacos at the Paleo Nick's Food Booth from 2014 - 2018. We even had a "Trio" of all three.

We've always had burritos on the back burner and now is the time.

We are in the testing phase, but would love your input.

You can read more about the idea here: BURRITO BLOG POST

You can fill out our questionnaire here: ICEAGEBURRITOS.COM

The first sample boxes will land to our initial taste test wave, but we will have 30 sampler boxes available (8 of each flavor) soon. If you'd like to get on that waitlist, please reply to this email.

This morning I read something in My Utmost for His Highest that stopped me:

“You cannot drink grapes.”

Grapes have to be crushed before they become wine.

These ten years have contained plenty of crushing. But they've also produced something I couldn't have understood when I walked onto that television set ten years ago.

So today I'm mostly just grateful.

Grateful for our team.

Grateful for every customer who ever trusted us enough to put our food on their table.

Grateful for the people who stayed with us through the messy parts.

And grateful to God for another day to cook, learn, serve and see what comes next.

Ten years down.

We're still cooking.

Thank you for being part of the story.

Your Pal Always,

Paleo Nick

P.S. If you've been around since the Shark Tank days, hit reply and tell me. I'd genuinely love to hear how long you've been with us.

Soli Deo Gloria.

P.P.S. Here's the Burrito Line in Miami 2018 throwing down Chorizo and Egg with Paleo Gordy leading the charge!

Verse Of The Day:

A wife of noble character who can find?

She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.

Proverbs 31:10-12
