Happy Anniversary!
It was five years ago; Ice Age meals appeared on the national television show SHARK TANK.
I still remember the experience like it was yesterday. I was nervous, excited, afraid, and happy all at the same time. Isn't it amazing how the human body can experience all of those emotions at once?
Looking back, part of me wishes I could do it again because I have gained a tremendous amount of wisdom over the past half a decade. And you know how life is, you always want to do better. The other part of me realizes life happens precisely as it should and when it should.
And at the end of the day, I know in my gut, Shark Tank forced me to feel uncomfortable, and that made me grow. Standing on that stage allowed me to see what was missing in my business and fill in the gaps, which leads me here today. For that, I am forever grateful.
Think about this in your own story.
You may have a new challenge in your life as we speak - perhaps a new job or new relationship. Maybe you started back to school or expanded your family. It could be an upcoming race, competition, or CrossFit event. Perhaps it's an entrepreneurial venture. Or you're dealing with some type of routine change. Whatever it is, you may be feeling the same emotions - nervous, excited, afraid, and happy.
I fully believe the range of emotions you are going through right now is essential to your story. Pushing yourself is scary sometimes, but worth it. Every success and every failure will catapult you to where you need to be.
And in 5 years from now, you will look back and be grateful for all the lessons, all the struggles, and all the small wins along the way. All of that will make the big successes even more satisfying.
So here is to recognizing all of life's moments that force us to get stronger! Even when you are swimming with the top of the food chain.
