We're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat, Says Nick
October 07 2016 – Jessica Timmons
"This has been the most rewarding week of my life."
So says Nick Massie, the driving force behind Ice Age Meals. If you've been around for a minute, you'll probably know that he's talking about the "Shark Tank" effect. Suffice to say that we were all blown away by the response - thousands of orders, thousands of emails and phone calls and social media messages, and most of them really great.
Back to Nick:
"When you set out to do something that hasn't been done before, you'll be confronted with infinite obstacles. It is like an unknown interval of hard work, failure, success, trials, joy, frustration, mountains and valleys. It's fair to say that years of hard work are paying off and it feels good!
I'd like to start by saying THANK YOU to everyone who has believed in me and supported my work. Being on "Shark Tank" last Friday was a life changing experience and I'll likely refer to my life in a BST/AST format from now on. That's "Before Shark Tank" and "After Shark Tank" for those of you who didn't follow."
He goes on to lay out plans for the future. Big plans. Stuff like the SAPEC and the UPICK and the CNEU and the GOAG. Oh, and the PIE! You'll have to jump over to the post on paleonick.com to find out what all those awesome acronyms stand for, but it's worth the visit. And if the title of this post is leaving you a little mystified, you'll figure it out pretty fast. Spoiler: we're expanding, and fast.
If you've recently ordered meals, please know that we're working 'round the clock to get them to you. We're running on a delayed timeline right now, but we're coming in hot and we'll be back to our usual lightning-fast turnaround soon.
From everyone here at Ice Age, thank you. What a ride, right?
