The New Year's Resolution that Really Matters
January 02 2017 – Jessica Timmons

What you eat matters. As a culture, we eat too much - too many refined carbs, too many empty calories, and way too much sugar. Even minimal changes to your diet, like cutting out soda and making better choices about fats, are a step in the right direction.
We aren't telling you that the Paleo lifestyle is the way to go - although no promises about that if you're surfing around paleonick.com - but we will say this. If your New Year's resolutions have anything to do with improved health, the single most effective thing you can do is improve your eating habits.
Hands up if you've ever heard this little bit of wisdom: you can't out-train a bad diet. No one likes to hear it, but it's painfully accurate. Maybe you want more muscle, more definition. Maybe you want to lose fat. Maybe you want a faster mile, more chin ups (any chin ups) or just to look better in that one pair of jeans. If you're committing to working out more consistently in 2017, that's awesome. But fitness and nutrition are two sides of the same coin. Eating poorly sabotages all that hard work in the gym, and the sooner you understand that, the better off you are.
We like to say that Ice Age Meals is in the business of changing lives, one meal at a time. It's catchy, right, but it really means something to us. Changing the quality of your food will improve the quality of your life. We get one turn on this rollercoaster ride, and one body. But every day is a chance to take care of it.
Eat better, live better. Whether or not you need Ice Age Meals to do it, we hope you'll commit to a more nutritious 2017. We'll be right there with you.
